Snare Walk is a quartet for four snare drums in 5/4 time. The first section is based on 3 + 2 groupings with flams, while accents move through the different drum parts. A polyrhythmical passage follows with simultaneous groupings of 3, 4 and 5. A unison section with variations leads back to the original rhythm.
All drum parts are equally important and of medium-level difficulty.
