"In this time of haste and non-commitment, in which countless data are sweeping through the ether zone, and it seems that we are getting more and more out of breath, a time when we must ask ourselves what our children can still rely on…many a soul longs for something, which returns in cycles, giving life a feeling of rhythm and security.
The seasons are an essential part of life for many people. We are not always aware of this, and yet: If we are asked what our favorite month is, many of us have an answer. Be it the month of our birthday, or the blossoming of the first flowers in the spring; be it the brightness of the summer, the glow of the trees in the autumn, or the silence of winter - somewhere we feel at home or connected to nature and its changes during the year.
I composed each of these songs month for month in 2014, and each song was completed by the first day of the next month. The songs are originally dedicated to the young patients of the "Vorwerker Klinik fuer Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie in Luebeck", where I work as a music therapist.
Meanwhile, schoolchildren, folklore groups and families have heard and discovered the songs. So, finally, here is the printed music and a CD recording of enthusiastic musicians.
